I  am a 19 year old rising third year student.  I plan on attending the UVA this fall.  WAHOO!!!    I want to major in African American Studies and minor in Sociology.   I want to do something that helps  specific minority groups develop in communities.  Everyone  always ask me what can you do with the major African-American Studies.  If you are interested in an answer click here for a link to UVA's Career Services which will give you Career options for many majors.
 

My family means a lot to me.    I am a military brat so growing up all I had was my family.  I lost my father last January.  He died of a heart attack.  I love to experience life to it fullest and his death made me cherish life and the people in my life even more.

 I am not only a student but a new mother too. Being a student and a mother is a full time job.  You would be amazed at what can be done if you only try.  I wish I realized my multitasking skills before my son.  I could have done so much.  Hopefully after college my boyfriend of 5 years and I will get married.
